Despite his humble beginnings as a mere BBC Young Musician of the Year brass finalist, Zak managed to ascend to the high grade position of lead trumpet for the Bristol Hornstars while studying French and German the the University of Bristol.

 

During that time he also played first trumpet for the UoB Symphony Orchestra as well as being heavily involved in other University ensembles. He has also recorded several film soundtracks on the side (musicians will do anything for money...). He's glad to be back performing with the highest grade ensemble of his career, the London Hornstars.
